“There is nothing that I love more than a Style Story! A reason, a why, the behind scenes methods that creatives use to tell a story. This is what I call Style. When real life moments can be captured or memorialized through fashion, photography, film etc. The suspense of knowing that you get to find hidden messages in the images of a floral blue dress blowing in the wind, or why a red flat was chosen verses a sexy red pump.
There are ways to capture your life and put your style in motion, by asking key questions. What does your life today say about your style? Does your life say that you should stick to basic colors, be very modest and blending is the best thing for you?
What does your future say you should be wearing? This should be where you take a real look in the mirror and asses the difference between you today and you tomorrow.

I knew that when I was 20-ish I would be a fashionable business woman. A journalist and fashion expert! One that went to work in a corporate suite and black heels wearing the sexiest perfumes that would catch notice by the office cutie. I would spend fashionable weekends with girlfriends drinking wine and talking about articles we wrote or red carpet reviews. Needless to say that is not my life! Instead, I became a pregnant college student throwing up in bathrooms in the halls of UNT. My sexy career path lead me to working visual merchandising at forever 21. In my eyes I had become a robot to society. I went to work and came home. Pretty boring huh, nothing close to red carpet reviews.That was years ago and it left me riding a wave that was leading me to a cluster of other wave riders. I would often wonder what that woman in the sexy business suit would look like today in her 30’s, what type of friends she had, and what type of stories she wrote about.
How many people are walking this earth with genius ideas inside of them? Les Brown once said ” The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take the first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.”
I have met some amazing people with amazing talents that decided to silence the likeness of that woman with the sexy perfume that is outgoing and living her life out loud. Tell her to come out this year! Make plans to introduce her to your friends and family. Start your blog! That cake recipe that everyone craves, turn that into your next business venture. Make that clothing line that speaks to your heart. Do it and do it unapologetically! With style, class and I don’t give a shit-ness.
